Outpatient rehabilitation

During outpatient rehabilitation, you will work with licensed therapists who provide one-on-one appointments at every visit. Outpatient rehabilitation at our hospital includes:

  • Physical therapy — Our physical therapy team is trained to help you strengthen your muscles and improve coordination, balance and movement.
  • Occupational therapy — The goal of our occupational therapists is to improve your independence and strength in daily activities, bathing, handwriting and dressing.
  • Speech therapy — If you are having trouble swallowing or other communication issues, our speech therapists can diagnose and treat your condition.

Our outpatient team uses a wide variety of techniques to help you recover. These can include manual therapy, dry needling, cupping and instrumented soft tissue mobilization. Our individualized treatment plans can also include exercise, functional training, pelvic stabilization, lumbar traction, cervical traction and vital stimulation for the face.

Inpatient rehabilitation center

The Rehabilitation Center is our inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) and is located on a dedicated floor of the hospital designed to optimize your recovery and comfort.

During an inpatient stay, you can expect three hours of therapy, five to seven days a week. This more intensive care is designed to increase functional progress over a shorter period of time with the primary goal of returning you home at the highest level of independence.

A team of physicians, rehab nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, case managers and dieticians all care for you and make it their goal to help you reach optimal function.

Our care teams are able to discharge many patients back to their home with home health and continued outpatient rehab. Education, disease management, diet, home setup and home exercise programs are provided to patients and their families. These resources help you manage your care and perform daily living activities.
